Παρουσίαση του συγγραφικού έργου της Γιώτας Τσαρμποπούλου, Πέμπτη 8 Μαίου, 8.15 μμ, Στέκι του ΦΙΛΟΛΟΓΟΥ
και επιστολή συγχαρητηρίων απο τον Prof. Demosthenes Triantafillou, President of the Greek Teachers Association << Prometheus>> in U.S.A.
Dear Mrs. Tsarmpopoulou:
I would like to thank you for your invitation to the presentation of your
books on Thursday night, May 8. You deserve the congratulations of all the
Greek Principals and teachers in America for your determination,
creativity, originality and intellectual freedom. Unfortunately, on the
same day, we are organizing a special Symposium in memory of Dr. George N.
Papanicolaou, the discoverer of the PAP TEST, the first cancer diagnostic
test in women. The program will take place at the Cornell Medical School in New
York on Thursday, May 8 at 5:30. What a great coincidence that on the same date,
May 8, two Principals, you and I, are holding meaningful educational
programs in Greece and in America. This is the proof of the creativity of
the Greek mind!
My disappointment of not being able to attend your wonderful event and
share your pride and success, could be mitigated by a future visit of you
to New York City for the purpose of presenting your books to the Greek American
Community. Let's discuss this idea as soon as possible. As the new President of
the Greek Teachers and Principals Association, I can be instrumental in
organizing your visit.
This summer, I'll be visiting Greece with all the members of my family-12.
I'll be in Athens on June 26 and 27( Amalia Hotel -Syntagma), in Nisyros
on June 28 and 29 and on Rhodes from June 30 to July 10( Grand Hotel). We could
organize a presentation of your books in Rhodes at some time between July 1 and
July 8 at the Grand Hotel. Please let me know how you find these suggestions
about Rhodes and New York City.
Again , congratulation for your new success as a writer! You are a
wonderful ornament on this planet!
With best wishes,
Prof. Demosthenes Triantafillou
President of the Greek Teachers Association << Prometheus>> in
U.S.A.
